Multimedia Solutions Disc 1.5 Released!

Vector Linux Solutions is proud to announce the availability of the next generation of their multimedia solutions product. This release comes with many updates and added applications bringing bug-fixes and new functionality to your multimedia workstation. Built on the stable and well tested operating system platform, Vector Linux 5.9, this release is a stepping stone towards porting the Multimedia Solutions Disc to Vector Linux 6.0 and incorporating many new ideas and professional applications.

 

Some of the new applications and updates include core audio applications such as Jack and Ardour. In addition to the traditional audio and video systems, we decided to include some CAD (Computer Aided Design) applications. Qcad, a graphical CAD program as well as BRL-CAD, a U.S. Government developed application are included.

 

Many major updates and program bug-fixes include Blender 2.48 and Gimp 2.6.4, as well as the newly released, award-winning panorama creation software, Hugin 0.7.0.
